Rethinking Russia at the International Studies Association Convention

International Analytical Center Rethinking Russia took part in the 67th convention of the International Studies Association that took place in Atlanta on March 16-18. This year’s event brought together as many as 5,500 researchers from around the world and has become the most representative in the history of the Association. The section on post-Communist states gathered over 200 scholars from the USA, Europe, Russia and other countries.

Rethinking Russia was one of the 80 think tanks and publishing houses that were exhibiting during the convention. Rethinking Russia’s booth offered its guests some of our most recent publications: “Think Tank Atlas: Russian Studies Abroad,” ” Institutional development and Capacity Enhancement Russia’s Political System Between State Duma Electoral Campaigns of 2011 and 2016″ as well as the book “Russia Surprises” that was published together with ISEPR Foundation, VTsIOM and Platforma Center.

Rethinking Russia became one of the sponsors of ISA’s “Post-Communist States in International Relations” section reception that took place on March 18. During the reception Yan Vaslavskiy, Director at Rethinking Russia, presented our books and research papers to participating scholars and guests, as well as invited them to study Russia together.
