The International analytical center “Rethinking Russia” was included into the “2016 Global Go To Think Tank Index” rating of research centers, published annually by the University of Pennsylvania – the US private university and research center that is one of the members of the Ivy League.
The International analytical center “Rethinking Russia”, founded in 2015, made its first appearance in 2016 rating, published January 26, 2017, in the category “Best New Think Tanks 2016”.
The Director of “Rethinking Russia” Yan Vaslavskiy noticed: “The University of Pennsylvania, in fact, included the best think tanks from all over the world into the rating. Our presence there provides evidence that the work and products of “Rethinking Russia” are popular among the expert society abroad.”
“Rethinking Russia” is the only Russian think tank that this year was included into the “Best New Think Tanks 2016”. There are also other prominent Russian research centers in the rating – MGIMO University, Institute of World Economy and International Relations, Analytical Center for the Government of the Russian Federation, Institute for US and Canadian Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Russian International Affairs Council, Carnegie Moscow Center and others.
“Global Go To Think Tank Index” is an annual project based on the data provided by 7500 international relations experts, journalists and other parties in interest, who analyze the work of 6600 think tanks according to 28 criteria. The recent edition is the tenth one. It is recognized by the expert society and is used, among other things, as a basis for studying think tank activities all over the world.
